Subcontractor | How to Adjust User Notifications and Company Profile

The differences between user settings and company settings and how to update them.

With any business, it is important to represent the business accurately. Additionally, many businesses have employee roles that impact which notification they wish to receive. 

 

1. To view/update your Company Profile click on the "Company Profile" page in the menu to the left.

 

2. Only Admins are able to make changes to the Company Profile and settings. Your company profile is visible to General Contractors registered on PlanHub.

  • Your company settings are in the "Trades and Regions" section.
    • Any changes in this section with impact all of your users' personal notification settings on their accounts.
  • You can update your trades as a company by clicking on the "Primary trades*"
    field.
  • You can update the areas your company services and the area your team receives ITBs from by clicking on the "States and regions*" field.
    • It is important to note that if you want a trade or region added to your personal notification settings, it first needs to be added to the company settings.

 

3. Users can update their Notifications settings individually.

  • To access the user-specific notifications log into PlanHub and click on your name in the top right-hand corner.
  • Then click on "My Account"

 

4. In the "Account" tab you can update your name and Contact Details.

  • *Tip:
    • If you wish to change your email you can invite the new email in the Team Page.
    • To change the email address (username) on your current login you must contact us.
  • Click on the "Notifications" tab to update the notifications you receive at your email address

 

5. On the Notifications tab, you can turn notifications on/off by clicking on the envelope icon for that notification.

  • Changes in the Notifications tab will only impact the emails received at the address listed in the "Account" section

 

6. Invitations to Bid

  • To receive invitations to bid on projects this notification must be turned on.
  • You can adjust how often you receive these emails in the "Frequency" section.
  • To filter the projects you are invited to use the "Select Trades & Subtrades" and the "Select States & Regions" fields.

 

7. Keyword notifications are emails notifying you when a word or multiword phrase you entered occurred in the documents of a project you were invited to bid.

  • To receive these you must turn the notification on AND enter single or multi-word phrases into this field.
    • *Tip: avoid using speical characters in these words ro phrases(" , ? ! + - =..)
  • Enter your single or multiword phrase and use the "enter" or "return" key on your keyboard to save it.
