When Suppliers bid on a project the bid is submitted to the posting General Contractor(s). When Suppliers share an Estimate they are sending pricing to the Subcontractor(s). Here's how to submit a bid and share an estimate as a Supplier.
Login to your account at planhub.com and navigate to the project you wish to bid on/provide an estimate.
You can search for projects by name on the Projects page.
Or access saved projects on the Bid Planner page.
Submit a Bid
In the Overview tab find the "Project Checklist" section and click on the "Place Bid" button.
If you are working on a smaller screen you may need to scroll down to find the Project Checklist section.
This will navigate you to the General Contractor Tab. Here you can view General Contractor information on the Company cards and use this information to network with the General Contractor(s).
If you are ready to submit your bid click on the "Place a bid" button.
In the popup window fill in all applicable and required fields, upload your Bid Document, and click "Place Bid".
- Fields marked with a red star or asterisk are required.
You can view and download all bids submitted on your Company account in the My Bids Page.
Share an Estimate
Navigate to the Project you wish to share an estimate with Subcontractors. In the project's Overview tab find the "Project Checklist" section and click on the "Place Bid" button.
If you are working on a smaller screen you may need to scroll down to find the Project Checklist section.
This will navigate you to the "Subcontractors" tab. Here you will find a list of all subcontractors who have viewed, downloaded, or submitted a bid on this project. You can use the Filters to narrow the list of subcontractors or search for subcontractors by name or email.
Your access to these details on a PlanHub project is impacted by your account's Subscription plan.
In this area, you can see each subcontractor's:
- Company Name
- Contact's name
- Contact Information (email/phone number)
- Estimate status (if your team has shared an estimate with this contact)
- Date and Time (of shared estimate)
- The option to share an individual estimate.
You can use this information to network with these companies and their contacts.
You can send individual estimates or group estimates.
An individual estimate will only be sent to the select contact. To send individual estimates Click Share Estiamte on the contact you wish to send it to.
A group estimate is sent to multiple subcontractors at once, however, the individual subcontractors can only see that you sent them an estimate. This allows you to send an individual estimate to multiple Subcontractors at once.
To send a group estimate check off those you wish to send an Estiamte to and click the "Share Group Estimate"
In the Popup window upload your Estimate document and add a message, then click "Share Estimate".
