What are Early Stage Projects?

Early Stage is an add-on feature designed to give you a head start over the competition. Instead of waiting for bid-ready plans, you’ll get access to projects still in the preplanning phase—when relationships can make the biggest difference. This early access helps you connect with owners, architects, and decision makers before projects officially hit the market, building your pipeline advantage.

Step 1: If you have purchased the Early Stage add-on feature, navigate to Project Finder from your planHub dashboard.

Step 2: Click the Early Stage tab.

Step 3: Browse listings curated by PlanHub’s research team. These projects are found through multiple verifiable resources. Each listing includes details about the project and verified contact information, but does not contain full project plans or specifications.

Step 4: Review the early stage project list. Each entry shows the project’s mile radius distance from your set coverage area ZIP code.

Step 5: Use filter options to search for projects by region or distance—filter options reflect your subscription plan coverage area.

Step 6: Save a project by clicking the star, or mark it as “not interested” with the eye icon.

Step 7: Click on a project to open its overview window. Here you’ll see the project name, location, details, current status, and contact information.

Step 8: View the project checklist. Once you save the project, assign a team member to track the project. Or, mark as not interested. Saved projects will appear on your Bid Board. Remember that Early Stage projects will appear differently from currently posted planHub projects. Tracking allows you and your team to stay up to date on progress.

Step 9: In the project workspace, team members can create notes, add tasks, and upload relevant documents. All information stays secure and accessible only to your team through your planHub account.

Step 10: Use the keyword search bar on the Early Stage homepage to search for upcoming projects still in the preplanning and budgeting stage.

Step 11: Saved projects appear on your Bid Board, so you and your team can easily track and collaborate as the project progresses. To learn more about the Bid Board, view the Knowledge Base article titled: Bid Board
