Takeoff - How to Ensure Your Measurement Properties Box Always Shows

 Prerequisites: You need a subscription or trial that includes Takeoff to measure plans, export a plan into TakeOff, and set the scale, or work with measurements.

Step 1: Start a new measurement, such as Count.

If the properties Box doesn't open, it needs to be enabled.

Step 2: While you’re in a measurement, click the gear icon to reopen the properties box.

Step 3: Alternatively, right-click any measurement result and select Properties from the menu.

Step 4: In the properties box, find the Always Show button in the upper right corner. Click it to enable this feature.

Step 5: Click Set to save your preference.

Next time you start a measurement, the properties box will open automatically. This lets you instantly name your tool with a custom label, and set any other properties you like. 

Make sure Always Show is enabled so you never lose access to your tool’s properties.
