      Share Your Projects, Reports, and Estimates in Takeoff

      You can now easily share your Takeoff projects, takeoff reports, and estimates with others in a secure, view-only format. This makes it simple to bring in additional stakeholders—whether or not they use PlanHub.

       

      This feature is scheduled to go live for all Takeoff Core and Takeoff Core & Estimation users on October 1, 2025.

      What Sharing Does

      Sharing gives your collaborators the ability to see your work without editing it.

      How to Share

      1. Open your Takeoff project, report, or estimate.

      2. Click Share.

      3. After enabling the External Access Link, you can click to copy the shortened shareable link or preview to see what external viewers will see.

        1. Toggle "Off" Project Measurements or Project Estimates to keep them hidden from your viewers.

      4. Click Copy Link and send it to your project stakeholders.

      What Recipients See

      When someone opens your link, they’ll see an “Enter Email to Access” screen.

      • Signed-in PlanHub users: Their email appears automatically.

      • Signed-out users: They’ll type in their email to continue.

        • Viewer emails are never used by PlanHub – PlanHub will not market to or contact viewers who enter their email.

      • Your company’s users: If signed in, they’ll be automatically routed to the editable version of the project in their account.

       Recipients cannot:

      • Edit or delete projects, reports, or estimates.

      • Download files or data.

      • Make changes that affect your account.

      Why Share?

      • Subcontractors (SCs): Share takeoffs and estimates with suppliers or GCs for quick alignment.

      • General Contractors (GCs): Share reports with trades to review scope.

      • Suppliers (SPs): Share cost visibility with partners without requiring them to log in.

      FAQ

      Q: Do recipients need a PlanHub subscription?
      No. Anyone with your link can view in read-only mode.

      Q: Can I track who views my project, report, or estimate?
      Viewers must enter their email before accessing.

      Q: Can recipients download my files?
      No. Downloads are disabled to keep your data secure.
