PlanHub Public Release Notes

A rolling summary of changes made each month.

October 2026

For General Contractors

My Projects: GC's can now see the date they posted a project within the Details in the Project Information tab, just below the description. Both the posted date and the bid due date now also show the time zone chosen when the project was posted.

Bidders: When a GC nudges likely bidders, a sub who replies to the nudge email now replies straight to the GC's own email address.

Project Posting: Step 4 (Bidders) has a new Invite From a List button. GCs pick one or more saved lists, and everyone on those lists is invited when the project is published, even contacts who don't match the trade or radius filters. Available on Premier/Pro and Essentials.

Step 4 now shows banners when a GC's My Directory is empty or when many contacts are missing trade or location info, with an Upload Contacts button to fix it. The Step 4 banner about directory contacts is clearer: contacts missing a trade or location won’t be invited to this project, and GCs can fix them by re-uploading their list or updating each trade’s My Directory settings.

Each trade on Step 4 now shows how many My Directory contacts it will invite, for example "My Directory (20)". The count updates as the GC changes the radius or trade filters. Trades with no matching contacts show (0) and can't be selected.

Change to who gets invited: My Directory contacts with no location on file are no longer invited to every project by default. Until now they skipped radius matching on step 4, so they received every invite. GCs can still reach them by picking a list with Invite From a List or by selecting them in Refine Bidders.

Publishing a project in the new posting flow is faster.

My Projects: Trades & Bidders: New “ITB Received” option in the Activity filter. Selecting this option shows every company the GC invited to the project, including those who never viewed, downloaded or bid. It’s off by default to help with load time performance, so the tab still opens on companies that acted on the project. Subs invited by email who don’t have a PlanHub account don’t appear on the tab yet, but they are in the downloaded report.

Download Report now works with “No Response” selected, or with no filters at all.

My Directory & Lists: Improved pagination & page controls on My Directory, saved lists, the Lists page, the PlanHub network tab and the “invite from directory” window. Page numbers in the hundreds and thousands now show in full. Essentials GCs, who only see the first page of the PlanHub tab, no longer see page controls there.

For Subcontractors

Branding: Subcontractors can now see the new PlanHub AI logo in the navigation panel, header, loading screen, registration and other key screens.

Subcontractors now see the new PlanHub AI logo in the navigation panel, header, loading screen, registration and other key screens. GC and Supplier users keep their current logos.

Ask AI & Project Fit (Go/No-Go): Ask AI and Project Fit (including custom questions) are now open to subcontractors on every plan, including Basic and Free Trial. They stay hidden for Private Access users and on locked projects.

Custom checklists now have clear limits: up to 5 custom checklists and up to 10 questions per checklist per user. Users get a tooltip when they hit a limit and inline messages for empty fields.

The Ask AI panel now slides in and out smoothly. Creating a Project Fit checklist is easier, with example prompts, numbered questions and an always-visible "+ New list" button.

Copying an Ask AI answer now pastes as clean, formatted text into Docs, Word or email, with a "Sources" list of the files and page numbers it cites.

Ask AI replies now show the date and time they were sent, and the thumbs-up/down and copy buttons have moved to the left.

Ask AI and Project Fit get visual polish: more space between messages, easier-to-see connection notices and cleaner loading states.

The AI Project Score is now on for all subcontractors. It shows in the project list, on the project page and in the project info

When Project Fit has no answers yet, it now lists the checklist questions as “Analyzing… Check back in a few minutes.”

When a user switches to a different project, Ask AI now opens to a fresh view with suggested starter questions such as “Summarize this project’s scope.” Earlier conversations are still there if they scroll up.

Project Page: Keyword search in the project files table now shows which pages match. Users can click a page number to open the file on that page with the search term highlighted. This works for regular and imported projects.

Subcontractors now see every file from the main GC plus any unique files from other GCs, such as extra Plans & Specs. Duplicate copies are hidden.

Basic users can now download project files, one at a time or in bulk, on projects in their coverage area.

The email compose window now looks the same on the Comms tab as on the Overview tab.

Imported Projects: Files on imported projects can now be opened straight in Takeoff. If a file was already sent to Takeoff, the existing session reopens.

For Suppliers

Branding: The PlanHub AI logomark (the diamond) replaces the old icon in the browser tab favicon, the top navigation and the page loading bar on Supplier 1.0, including in File Viewer.

Projects: The Project List has a new sortable “Posted Date” column showing each project’s creation date.

The separate “Distance” column was removed. Mileage now appears inside the Location column with the same tooltip. When a zip-code search gives a distance of 0, no mileage or tooltip is shown.

“Posted Date” is also shown on the Project Page.

File Viewer — OCR Highlighting, Keyword Search & Highlighting Improvements:
What’s improving for new projects:
Significant improvement in keyword search speed — Search results will load much faster in the File Viewer. The cold start delay that was causing slowness is being eliminated for new projects.
OCR keyword highlighting — Keywords found on scanned/image-based pages will now be highlighted in the File Viewer for new projects. Previously this wasn’t possible and these pages only surfaced with an ‘i’ icon.
Consistency between project search and File Viewer — The mismatch that was sometimes occurring between keyword matches shown on the project list page and what appeared in the File Viewer should be resolved for new projects, as both will now use the same underlying data set.
Loader improvements — The horizontal loading bar that was blocking page interactions during keyword searches will be removed, contributing to an overall improved page loading experience.

Expected behavior differences between new and older projects:
Older projects will still experience some slower load times and OCR keyword highlighting will not be available. This will gradually even out over the next couple of months.

When a multi-word keyword phrase spans across two lines on a page, the highlight box will cover the entire block of text between the words rather than each word individually.

Bid Planner (SP 1.0): Bid Planner has a new sortable “Updated Date” column on every tab (Saved, In Progress, Estimate Shared, Bid Submitted, Won, Lost). It shows when a GC last changed the project, which means a bid date change, a file added, or an explicit project update post. Click the header to sort by it, ascending or descending. The default sort is still Bid Date descending.

September 2026

For General Contractors

A refreshed project posting experience. The New GC Layout continues to roll out with a streamlined posting flow. You can now upload your contact list directly during posting, and contacts saved in your directory without an address are included automatically rather than being filtered out by distance. Project names are now captured up front so your projects are easier to find and reference later.

Bulk outreach from Trades & Bidders. Send emails to multiple trades and bidders without leaving the tab, with a personalized banner available in the bulk send overlay.

Better bid tracking from your inbox. Bids arriving by email can now be captured automatically and matched to the right project, with the proposal file attached and a direct link from Trades & Bidders to the full bid record. Hover any email-captured bid to see its current status at a glance.

Improved reporting. Your Activity Tracker download now includes the source of each invitation and whether the bidder received the ITB.

For Subcontractors

Work with drawings page by page. In the file viewer you can now download an individual page on its own, and send single pages straight to Takeoff without restrictions. Downloading is also clearer and quicker to use.

Go/No-Go and Ask AI are available to more members. Basic and Free Trial subscribers can opt in to the beta and try both features. Highlights and citations have a refreshed look that makes AI-sourced answers easier to scan and verify.

More context on every project. The project details card now shows when a project was posted. When several general contractors post the same project, you'll see the earliest posting date so you can judge timing accurately.

Clearer coverage information. When a project falls outside your standard service area, the coverage banner now shows the radius you've purchased rather than the distance to the project. You can also override distance and ZIP Code filters on Project Finder to search beyond your usual radius.

For Suppliers

Lead Finder export improvements. Exports now include the project description and your most recent note on each lead, so your working context travels with the file.

Updated lead alert emails. Saved search alert emails have a cleaner format that makes new matching projects easier to scan.

Upcoming Supplier Updates

A new account management area. Manage your company profile, business details, trades and regions, address, notification preferences, and subscription and payment information from one place. Team Members now supports adding colleagues, assigning admin permissions, and viewing available seats for your plan, with sorting and search across your team.

Messaging Center. A single place for your conversations, organized by tabs with search, threading, attachments, and controls to mute, block, or mark unread.

Connections. Follow the companies you work with, manage who you follow, message them directly, and filter your list by group.

Across the platform

This month also included ongoing refinements to search accuracy, filtering behavior, notification delivery, and page performance during peak hours, alongside a range of interface polish across Project Finder, the project details page, and bid management.
