General Contractors | How To Send Project Status Updates

Sharing project status updates as a general contractor can boost the number of bids you receive and keep your subcontractors and suppliers informed. Regular updates attract new partners, provide critical information, and save you valuable time. Here’s how to share a status update for your project.

Step 1: Go to My Projects page.

Step 2: Click the name of the project you want to update.

Step 3: On the project page, click Post Update in the upper right corner.

Step 4: Enter the Message details for your update. This could include information such as a preconstruction meeting date, changes in bid due dates, alerting subs and suppliers of new documents, or awarded status changes.

Step 5: Select who will receive the update. Choose from all companies receiving ITBs or those who have viewed your project. Or only notify the companies that viewed your project. Both options exclude companies that marked your project as "not bidding."

Step 6: Click Send to share the update or click Cancel.

Note: Use Project Updates to improve communication, reduce confusion, and ensure subcontractors and suppliers have the latest information they need to stay engaged.

By posting updates directly from your project page, you can quickly share important changes, notify the right companies, and keep everyone aligned throughout the bidding process.
