How To Post A Project For Free

Step 1: Sign up for a free General Contractor account on PlanHub. Once you're signed up, you're ready to post your project.

Step 2: Open the Projects tab in your account.

Step 3: Click Post a Project on the right. Choose to post your project as public or private. Public projects are free to post and visible to all subcontractors. Private projects require a subscription and are only visible to those you invite.

Step 4: Click Start to begin.

Step 5: Fill in the required fields in the Project Information section. Drop-down fields with boxes let you select multiple options, while fields with dots allow only one. Fields with a red star are required.

Step 6: In the Project Specific Details section, fill in all required fields. Add as much detail as possible in the project description, and remember to select all the trades you need bids for.

Step 7: Select the trades needed for your project. Review and adjust as needed.

Step 8: Click Apply to update the trades, then click Save and continue.

Step 9: In the Project Files section, upload all necessary documents like plans, specs, and bid forms. Once all files are uploaded, click Save and continue.

Step 12: In the Invite and Finalize section, if you post as Public, we will automatically send invites to all the subs from our PlanHub Network that match up with your project's trades and location.

If you choose to post as Private, you will need to select from your personally saved list of contractors or provide a list of emails of the contacts you want invited.

Step 13: Select team members to receive submitted bids. Schedule bid reminders and add personal contacts to give them free access to the project.

Step 14: When you're ready, click Invite and Finish.

To save the project without sending invites, click Save.

Step 15: Your project is now posted! You'll be redirected to the Project list page.

That's it! You've successfully posted a project on PlanHub.
