# Network & Directory Search Tools
## PlanHub’s Network add-on makes it easy for general contractors to find, contact, and add subcontractors and suppliers to their Company Directory. This step-by-step guide walks you through the powerful search tools, filters helping you build a reliable directory fast.
How to Use the Network & Directory Search Tools in PlanHub for General Contractors
PlanHub’s Network add-on makes it easy for general contractors to find, contact, and add subcontractors and suppliers to their Company Directory. This step-by-step guide walks you through the powerful search tools, filters helping you build a reliable directory fast.
**Prerequisite:** The **Network Add-On** feature purchase is required to access planHub’s Network of subcontractors and suppliers located under the PlanHub tab on the Network page.
**Step 1: Network** Add-On
Navigate to the left side of the page and click on **Network**.
**Step 2: Use the Keyword Search Bar**
Under the **PlanHub** tab, use the keyword search bar to find subcontractors or suppliers by name.
**Step 3: Add Subcontractors and Suppliers to Your Directory**
View the company cards in the results. Click the **person plus sign icon** to add a subcontractor or supplier to your Directory.
**Step 4: Filter** Button
Click the **Filter** button to open advanced search options.
**Step 5: Filter by All, Subcontractors or Suppliers**
Choose to view all, only subcontractors, or only suppliers.
**Step 6: Filter by Details**
Filter by Trades, Certifications, Qualifications, States or by ZIP codes and mileage radius.
- Suppliers do not have the option to filter by certifications and qualifications as they typically supply materials without installation.
(**Note:** in rare cases, a supplier may hire a company to provide installation. If installation is included in their bid proposal, you’ll see this option when the bid is submitted. If you accept their proposal with installation included, request the appropriate qualifications and certifications, such as proof of insurance and any required licenses.)
**Step 7: Apply Filters**
After making your selections, go to the bottom right corner and click **Apply**.
**Step 8: Sort and Reset Results**
Use the next dropdown menu to sort by most active, distance, or alphabetically. Click **Reset** to clear filters and start over.
**Step 9: Set Results Per Page**
On the right, adjust the number of results displayed per page (up to 50).

### Viewing and Organizing Your Directory
**Step 1: My Directory** Tab
Click the **My Directory** tab to see all subcontractors and suppliers listed in your company directory.
**Step 2: Filter Within Your Directory**
Use filters to narrow your search by company name, labor status (like union or non-union), distance, business classification, required certifications, your lists, or subtrades.
**Step 3: Review Filtered List**s
View the list of Directory entries based on your chosen filters.

### Creating and Managing Custom Lists
**Step 1: My Lists**
Click on the **My Lists** tab. Here, you’ll see any custom groups that you or your team have saved as a list.
**Step 2: Search for a List**
Use the keyword search bar to quickly find specific lists for groups of subcontractors and suppliers you will be sending invitations to bid (ITBs) on your posted projects.
**Step 3: Adjust Lists view Per Page**
On the right side, click the dropdown menu to select to view up to 50 lists per page.
