Email Integration is currently available to a limited group of General Contractors. If you have access, you're getting in on the ground floor.

How to Connect Your Email

You can connect your email from two places in PlanHub:

From Settings

1. Go to Account Settings
2. Within the Basic Information tab, scroll to the bottom of the page
3. Click Connect Email and follow the one-time authentication flow

From the Trades & Bidders Tab

1. Open any project and navigate to the Trades & Bidders tab
2. While reviewing Project Bidders, click any hyperlinked email
3. A compose email box will appear; clicking anywhere in the text box will launch a prompt to authenticate.
4. Click it to begin the same authentication flow

What to expect during setup

Both paths take you through a quick one-time flow powered by Nylas. You'll see a standard Google permissions screen — review what you're granting, then click Allow. That's it. Your email is connected and ready to use across PlanHub.

You only need to do this once. After setup, you can compose and send emails directly from any hyperlinked email address in PlanHub.

What is Email Integration?

Email Integration lets you compose and send emails directly from PlanHub when working with subcontractors or suppliers — without switching tabs or leaving your workflow.

What you can do today:

• Click any hyperlinked email address in PlanHub to compose an email in-app
• Send emails without opening a separate inbox
• Find sent emails in your email client's Sent folder
• Keep all project communication connected to your workflow

Free forever for early access users

Email Integration is a paid feature, but if you access it during early access, you'll keep it free — permanently. No trial period, no future charges, no surprises. If it's enabled in your account today, that benefit is locked in.

How authentication works

To set up Email Integration, you'll go through a one-time authentication flow using Nylas — a trusted email integration provider used by thousands of modern software platforms. Nylas acts as a secure bridge between PlanHub and your email provider.

During setup, you'll see a standard Google permissions screen to grant access.

Your privacy and data

Email access can feel sensitive, so here's exactly what this integration does and doesn't do.

It does:

• Send emails on your behalf when you choose to send one
• Ensure emails sent from PlanHub appear in your Gmail or Outlook Sent folder
• Let you manage drafts created through PlanHub

It does not:

• Read your inbox or unrelated emails
• Send emails without your action
• Store or sell your email data

You can revoke access at any time from your PlanHub Account settings.

FAQ

Is Email Integration safe? Yes. PlanHub uses Nylas to securely connect to your email provider, and access is limited strictly to what's needed to send emails you initiate.

Can emails be sent without my knowledge? No. Emails are only sent when you explicitly choose to send them. There are no automated or background sends.

Can I revoke access? Yes, at any time from your Google Account settings. Revoking access immediately disables Email Integration.

Is this feature free? If you're part of early access, yes — free forever. No trial, no future charges, no changes if pricing evolves later.

Will future communication features also be free? Your early access benefit covers Email Integration permanently. As this feature grows into a broader communication hub, additional capabilities may be priced separately — but your current access is locked in at no cost.
