General Contractors | How To Add Trades to your Active Projects
Keep your bidding process efficient by adding new trades to your existing projects and inviting the right subcontractors to bid. This step-by-step guide shows you how to update trades and ensure your invitations reach the right people.

Step 1: Click My Projects, in the main panel on the left side of the page.

Step 2: Choose one of the 2 options available to Edit your project:
a.) Navigate to the end of the row for the project you want to edit then, click on the (3 dots) action menu and select Edit

b.) Click on the project name to view the project page, then, click Edit in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Select the Trades option at the top of the page.

Step 4: Select All for each section, or select trades individually that match your needs. Be sure you select all required trades within each section.

Step 5: To find specific trades, use the keyword search bar in the upper left corner to quickly locate the trades.

Step 6: Then, select the desired trades.

Step 7: You can use the quick selection options in the upper right corner, such as "New Construction with Site Work" or "Interior Fit Out," to instantly select trades relevant to those scopes.

Step 8: Review and finalize project details. Check other project details as needed, scroll to the bottom, and click Save to continue.
Step 9: On the Invite Bidders page, add updated instructions in the Special Instructions field as needed.

Step 10: New invitations will go only to contacts linked to the trades you added—existing invitees will not receive duplicate notifications. Click Publish in the bottom right corner to send out your new invites.

Keeping your project trades updated helps to ensure the right subcontractors and suppliers have the opportunity to bid on your project, increasing your chances of receiving more competitive and comprehensive bid coverage for your project.
